Melinda Finnigan, Secretary of the Society, looks after the Youth Folio. It is an Online Folio system and all contact is via email. The online folio system has a new round every month, the round remains open for one month to upload an image and for two months to comment on other member's pictures. Youth members are expected to comment on each of the images of the other members of the Folio (except their own). Each youth member will be emailed, around the 8th of the month, the scores of the previous rounds images, this email will also serve as a reminder to upload an image to the current round and comment and score on the previous round. There is a prize for each round. We are supported by Cheap Chips, in which Rohan provides us with some prizes for a great discount. So far, prizes have been books, magazines and great quality memory cards. At the end of each round, images are viewed by a senior member of the Society. He/She will give comments on each image and then advise of their top 3 choices for the Round. This means the youth member will receive a score from their peers and perhaps be in the top 3 from the senior member. Melinda is the Secretary of the Folio, to ensure that everything ticks along nicely. Each member is emailed a User Manual, which will describe exactly what to do and how to do it, when uploading images and commenting. The manual also gives details about the file naming before uploading and details of the maximum pixel sizes of the image. A rating sheet guide is also emailed to help get the member started.
