Associate(AAPS) - This Honour is intended as a goal, offering a substantial challenge to the accomplished photographer. The standards required are deliberately kept high but not so high as to preclude active Australian and overseas photographers from applying. This Honour may be attained by the Exhibition or Panel system.

Fellow (FAPS) - This Honour is the highest to be awarded by the Exhibition System. There would be little value in a Fellowship based on anything lower than the maximum exhibition record reasonably attainable by our top exhibition photographers.

Master (MAPS) - This Honour (by Panel only) is reserved for those photographers who are outstanding in their field. It is aimed to allow photographers to demonstrate their photographic skill, talent, creativity and personal interpretation. Exhibition acceptances are not considered. The submission must be complete in itself, and coherent, illustrating a specific theme. The choice of ideas is entirely up to the author. The result needs to be that the folio stands on its own as an expression of the author’s creativity in transmission of emotion, moods, illusions, or any other message.
