Greetings to all Digital Group Members

Every two years at APSCON all positions within the organisational structure of APS are declared vacant and new members are elected for the next two year period. We have just gone through that process. I would like to extend thanks to the previous Chair, Peter Manchester, and his committee for doing such a good job in moving the division forward with new innovations and activities.

Following is a list Council members who will serve for the period 2012-2014. An asterisk indicates a member new to council. I would like to formally welcome them all and thank them for offering their time and skills for the betterment of Digital Division.

In these times of rapid change and innovation I think it is important to introduce new people who can be a source of fresh new ideas, so as you can see, the new committee is large with six new people who responded to my invitation to join the division council together with returning "old" members.

Approximately 40% of APS members are members of Digital Division. That implies we are a group with diverse interests. The Council is responsible for returning value to the members, so we will be a busy group, attempting to cater for as many of those interests as possible.
