During my working life I have worked in the manufacturing industry working in Engineering departments, and various Management roles. During the 1980’s I spent a lot of time overseas and had the opportunity to take lot of photos. I soon realised that my images were only snap shots and decided that when I got time I should lean to take photos that I could enlarge and hang on the wall.

In the early 1990’s I took early retirement and attended a photographic course at Tafe,  joined a Camera Club in Sydney, and found both of these very beneficial in learning from other photographers and making many friends.

In 1999 I joined the APS and as a member I have been a member of various folios and took part in National exhibitions. This also has been a great way to lean more about photography. Over recent years I have been competing in International Exhibitions and found it very challenging to compete against people of other countries, and I find the catalogues very interesting to see the various techniques used to produce exceptional photographs.
