The APS operates six different divisions, being audio-visual, contemporary, electronic-digital, nature, print and projected images. Each division provides a range of services.
A division within the Society can also mean which media you choose to portray your images in the folios.
Divisions that use photographic paper are Print, Nature and Contemporary. Their folios are therefore posted.
Divisions that use the online method of sharing images (in folios) are Electronic-Digital, Contemporary and Nature. The online folios uses a system of uploading images and sharing information online.
Projected Images use both the media of slides and cd rom and this is currently by post.
Audio Visual use software to produce the AV and then provide the final product on DVD.
Members can join any number of divisions (at a cost of only $8 per division). New members are entitled to one free division in the first term of membership. Members who are under 19 years of age are entitled to one free division and are encouraged to join the Youth Folio in which they share images with other members who are in their age range.
