The Print Division
The Print Division aims to promote and encourage the photographic image on paper by the use of silver in conventional monochrome papers, dyes in conventional colour papers and alternative methods of printing, chemicals in other printings and of course, digitally printed images.There is little restriction on subject matter and there is no differentiation as to what type of camera gear you use. To gain the best benefit from your membership of the APS and the Print Division can offer you the services.
Folio Services
Joining a folio is of major benefit. Most folios are small, about 8 to 10 members in the group send their prints to each other by post. Everyone comments on each others' prints and you comment on theirs. There are two non-competitive web based folios for 'work-progress' - one is for monochrome, the other for colour.
Print Evaluation Service
With this service you can send up to 4 prints at a time to someone who will evaluate them for you, including their suitability for competition and exhibition.
Print Division Competitions
There are 4 print division competitions held each year. Notices and forms for these appear in IMAGE magazine and the APS website regularly.
